LUMC Mission/Vision

Foreign Exchange Student Opportunity!

HOST FAMILIES are needed for high school exchange students for the 2019-2020 school year.  The
students will arrive from Europe, Asia, and South America in mid-August 2019 and will stay with the host
family until the end of the school year.  They need caring American families (with or without children) to provide a home and share with them this unique experience.  The host family provides a bed, meals, friendship, understanding, and a genuine desire to share the American way of life with a student from overseas.  The students speak English, are covered by medical insurance, and have spending money for their personal expenses.  Approved families can view online student applications and select the student
that best matches their own family.  If you would consider hosting I would be happy to meet with you, explain the program and share student bios.   Contact Janice Rake, janicerake@gmail.com, 620-473-0646.  Website is greenheartexchange.org.  As a host family you provide a bed/study area, 3 meals a day and transportation as needed.  The student has medical insurance and spending money for other expenses.  I have hosted myself many times and it is an enriching experience for everyone.  Take a leap of faith and say YES to hosting.
