Welcome to Lecompton United Methodist Church.  Located in beautiful, historic Lecompton, Kansas, we have shared in the life and ministry of our community since the late 1800's.  Our beautiful and distinctive sanctuary was built within the old Windsor Hotel, and has been remodeled since to add classrooms and the new fellowship hall.  We now have room for children's, youth, and adult Sunday School classes, as well as a room for our quilters.

We are located just a few minutes north of the western edge of Lawrence, Kansas, about 12 miles from the center of Kansas University - home of Jayhawk Basketball.

Christian vocation is a life of holiness, "faith working in love," that first embodies the commandment to love God through an inward or personal holiness - "holiness of heart."1

Holiness of heart is loving God with our whole being.1

It involves total commitment to God, singleness of intention, centering one’s life completely on God.  It includes believing in, trusting, loving, worshiping, and obeying God.  It consists of constant reliance on God’s grace and using the gifts God gives us to become what God intends us to be.2
